Legian - Bali, April 10th, 2013 - Archipelago, which was formerly known as Aston International, unveiled the new self-styled ‘superior select-service’ hotel brand in October 2012, promising a “hip and new” range of properties, which provide a “light-filled, visitor-friendly atmosphere”. The first of these properties recently opened its doors in Jakarta and was now followed by Bali’s first NEO; the Hotel NEO Legian – Jelantik.

The new, designated non smoking property is located on Jalan Patih Jelantik around the corner of Jalan Legian within easy walking distance to the centers of Kuta and Legian in close proximity to the night life spots around Poppies Lanes and Ground Zero.

Catering for predominantly young international and domestic guests, the new NEO features 101 ultra-modern rooms with a full set of amenities and up market facilities such as mini-bars, café makers, vanity mirrors, hairdryers and top of the line beddings and linens while maintaining its credo that well designed Hotels do not need to be costly.

Archipelago International plans to open a third NEO as early as mid April in the heart of Jakarta’s Blok M on Jalan Melawai and further three in mid-summer, one of which in Jakarta and two more in Bali. By 2014 the new brand will launch several more hotels in Bali and Jakarta and celebrate its arrival in other Indonesian cities such as Bandung, Medan, Palangkaraya, Samarinda and Solo. The new properties will feature between 90 and 130 rooms and eclectic all day Noodle - Cafés and as all Hotel NEOs be completely smoke free.

“We have carefully timed this opening to be in line with the Tour Operator contracting season which traditionally starts in April and have been able to gain widespread support from Europe over Japan to Australia promising that the new NEO will have a very diverse, international and interesting guest mix “said Norbert Vas, Archipelago International’s VP Sales & Marketing.
