Archipelago International unveiles Harper Hotels & Resorts

 Jakarta, June 18th, 2013 – Indonesia’s maverick hotel group, Archipelago International, formerly known as Aston International, unveiled its latest up market hotel label “HARPER Hotels & Resorts” and at once confirmed that the first HARPER will open in Kuta, Bali as early as this summer while seven more are in an advanced state of constriction in Bandung, Banjarmasin, Bogor, Makassar, Samarinda, Surabaya and Yogyakarta.

 

The Harper brand will present 3 star plus and 4 stars newly build hotels from 100 to 250 rooms in either city or resort locations. Rooms will be a minimum bay size of 28sqm and a maximum of 40sqm, while suites will be 1.5 bays.  City location HARPER Hotels will feature executive floors with club lounges and ladies only rooms while all HARPERS will offer the brands proprietary destination restaurant concept “Rustik Bistro & Bar” which as its name implies will offer home comfort food cooking paired with great wine and cocktails in a fresh, light and elegant room.

 

The brands Signature Style will be Modern Rustic using warm, rich colors to offer comfort in each room while accents of cozy autumnal fabrics and soft orange hues will promote relaxation juxtaposed with modern grays to create an understated cool elegance.

 

Matching furniture will give way to mix-and-match pieces, which add an eclectic flair to the room. Upholstered furniture brings an air of sophistication and surprising textures are created with rich velvets, silks and chintz covered with interesting patterns to provide bold contrast. Comfort pieces, like a single sofa or big couch will be layered with personality-filled cushions, rugs, and wall hangings.

 

HARPER hotel rooms will not have desks. Instead, they will all have comfortable sofas and high coffee tables - bigger and higher, so guests can eat and work at the same time while sitting in a sofa. Standard bathrooms will have showers only while suites will also have a separate bathtub. In an effort to eliminate wasteful bottles, bath amenities will be available in a dispenser format.
